All matches are held at venues with turf pitches, ensuring top-quality playing conditions. We leverage local networks to select grounds maintained to high standards, aligning with the expectations of cricket associations, clubs, and schools.

Rest Days are vital in the GCAL structure, preventing player burnout and aligning with CA guidelines. They also allow players to immerse themselves in local culture through school visits, sightseeing, and attending International, First Class, or Franchise T20 cricket games. Who can participate in GCAL tournaments?

GCAL tournaments are open to youth cricket academies that meet our selection criteria, These including the accreditation level of coaching staff, number of years established and alignment with GCAL values. Players typically range from U/13 to U/19.

How can my academy apply to participate in a GCAL tournament?

Academies can apply by contacting us through our website’s “Get Involved” page. We evaluate applications based on our selection criteria and will reach out to shortlisted academies for further discussions.

What types of tournaments does GCAL offer?

Currently GCAL offers an U/15 tournament in the Sunshine Coast, an U/17 tournament in India and an U/19 tournament in Barbados. We are also planning to expand to include female tournaments, an U/13 male tournament and tours to the UK, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.

What playing conditions are used in GCAL tournaments?

GCAL tournaments use competition and location-specific playing conditions tailored to the age group of the players. These conditions include formats like 20, 40, and 50-over games, along with specific rules regarding fielding restrictions and bowling limits.
